In the course of its business, it is necessary for Footings To Lofts (FTL) to record, store, process, transmit, and otherwise handle private information about individuals. FTL takes these activities seriously an provides fair, secure, and fully legal systems for the appropriate handling of this private information. All such activities at FTL are intended to be consistent with General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR).

The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details). 

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Enquiry via contact form.

  • Enquiry via email.

  • Enquiry via phone call.

We use the information that you have given us in order to administer and control any internal processes relating to the quotation or delivery of any project you engage FTL regarding. 

We may share this information with our operatives, trade wholesalers, merchants or specialist installers for the purposes of coordinating and successfully executing the agreed contract works. 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we reply on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You have given clear consent for us to process your personal data for a specific purpose. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting contact@footingstolofts.com

(b) Contract. The processing is necessary for a contract that we have with you, or because we have been asked to take specific steps before entering a contract with you.

(c) Legitimate Interest. The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by FTL. This may include FTl responding to a customer enquiry, direct marketing, added value, debt collection and to enable accurate record keeping. 

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored on our company encrypted email servers. 

We keep customer information for the duration of agreed contract works and for the length of the agreed post-contract warranty period. Information regarding the contract works, agreed scope, contract variations and internal admin procedures will be retained in line with requirements relating to the retention of financial and legal data. 

 

Any non-essential data will be permanently deleted.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

  • You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
